update on the Burtenshaw family

Hey all!
I know it has been a while and I do apologize but life has been so busy this year.  I am still working at the university of Chicago Center for Reproductive medicine. Brett is in the middle of his second to last rotation of medical school!   Right now we are in the middle of interviewing for residency. Brett got some competitive scores on step I and II so he has been traveling around interviewing for our next adventure called residency! We are so excited for this change and literally can't wait to start!  Brett has interviewed in Janesville WI, Quincy IL, Chicago IL, Vegas NV and will be interviewing in FL soon. He has had some great interviews! And we have met some really great people along the way.
We will find out where Brett will match on what is appropriately called match day. I think this may be the most excited day of our married life so far. Match day is in march and I think I will be taking the day off for this event! We will be moving to wherever we are going in May and Residency starts in July. Brett will be walking at graduation on 6-8-12!!!! I can't believe it's finally so close!!!  We are very happy with were we are in life right now and can't wait to get started on the next part of life!

This summer has been a crazy and oh so fun one! not only did we get to go to Utah in July but Debbie and Mandy came to visit us in July and then in august Matt came to visit as well as we had our 3 year anniversary of being married!

Life is so great!

Brett just put in his applications for residency this week and we are waiting to hear back from them this coming week/month.   He worked hard and passed his test with a great score and we are so excited to see what will happen next!

We went on a architecture boat tour with Debbie and Mandy! we had a blast and learned a whole bunch about Chicago!

 The day at Navy pier was really fun with Debbie and Mandy and the day we took Matt there we actually saw a cirqe de shanghai perform and saw the fireworks after!
