Dr. Brett and Kellie Burtenshaw!

This was the year! the year that Brett finished Medical school! He applied to many residencies and actually prematched at Janesville WI. We feel so blessed because now instead of waiting and hoping that we match somewhere we know where we will be going and we know that we already like it!

A year or so ago one of our friends who had already got into Janesvilles family medicine residency called Brett and helped him get a two week rotation. Brett loved it there, I loved it there, we already had friends and it was everything we were looking for to start our family. a smaller town with friendly people. We were planning on ranking Janesville number one on our match list but luckily we didn't have to wait until March to actually match. On december 1, 2011 Brett received a call from the director of the program in Janesville.  The director told Brett that they wanted him to join their program and would give him a week to think about it. Brett accepted the position and now we are busy planning for the future! looking at houses and neighborhoods.

Mercy Hospital, where Brett will be working!

One of the things Janesville is famous for! They have the national water skiing competitions on the river going through the city!

The move will be so easy! The program is paying for the move and so we won't have to do much! Besides it's only a few hour drive from Chicago to Janesville!

I could get use to this! When we were staying in Janesville I didn't hear any sirens! I have become so use to them in Chicago that when I woke up in janesville the silence was music to my ears! It is a very peaceful place!

Us before the interview dinner with Matt and Leigh!

SUSHI!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!!

Brett right before his interview! they put us up in a hotel, it was a great weekend!

 A cheese shop in WI!

We are so excited to be moving to Janesville! Chicago has been so much fun but I couldn't last too much longer here.  Janesville can't come soon enough!

In the meanwhile I am still working at the university of Chicago reproductive medicine clinic and Brett is working at a charter school helping special education kids
